Anyone know of a source for S&W M41 parts?

    I have a 1971 vintage S&W M41. Love this pistol.

Unfortunately I need a magazine release nut or button. Yesterday mine just broke when I touched it; the tiny stud can't be removed from the button. I can get the threaded release part, but the button / 'nut' are apparently made of unobtanium.

I've tried ebay, Gunbroker, DuckDuckGoFu, two S&W forums, Brownell's. Not available.

I called S&W and spoke with CS; they might determine the later run of M41's use the same parts and all might be well; otherwise I just watch ebay endlessly.

So - anyone know of an obscure source for vintage S&W parts?

    Did you try Sarco?

    https://www.sarcoinc.com/

These people may be an option as well

    Thanks.

EWK has an extended release...but out of stock.

Negative on SARCO. They tend to be milsurp in my experience. But they didn't show any M41 parts.

I may have to get an extended release now if I can find one, but eventually as this is also a collectible with box I really want a factory original.

    Thanks for the tips though.

    Damn.

He had them. Ordered two of each part (have two M41's of the era).

    Hot dog. Thanks!

Parts arrived yesterday....perfect. Highly recommend Lee's. Just be aware they may be using the phones from The Andy Griffith Show because I had to call 3 times before I got a completed ringing response....
