I got to thinking about all the after-market parts I installed in my M11/9. On a whim, I opened my well worn copy of the "SWD M-11/NINE Submachine Gun Operating Manual No. 2" to the parts list on page 21. I inventoried the OEM parts that are still in my gun.

Of 57 parts in the OEM parts list, the following 11 are still installed (numbers correspond to part number in the list):

1. Receiver (well, duh)
17. Plate
18. Ejector (rod)
19. Guide Rod
20. Compression Spring, Recoil
29. Grip
30. Grip Screw
36. Trigger Pin
37. Sear Pin
41. Compression Spring, Sear
50. Retainer (spring)

My M11/9 is 19% OEM, and 81% aftermarket. I'm running a Frankengun. I bet most of us M11/9 owners are running Frankenguns. It's amazing that they run at all, let alone 100% as many of them do.

My PS is probably at worst 95% original, down to the strap off the barrel. It's got an A1 stock on it and a TASK style setup. Pretty much it until it comes home to the Lage Max31 that is waiting for it.

Mine is 1.75% original (receiver only). I should have the Form 4 corrected to reflect the true manufacturer, 'Practical Vegas Lage'.

Mine’s stock except for cfw bolt and Lage sear although I do run different uppers.

Funny you mention that. I actually won the SAR 2017 Frankengun challenge with an M11/9 hackjob. I'm still enoying the free subscription. Have not yet gotten around to getting my official RKI certificate framed.

Was that you selling a very similar upper/stock combo on GB recently for an M10? Just curious. I thought very much about buying it, b/c I always admired your gun, but I much prefer shooting Lage upper to stock uppers so I ultimately decided to pass.

Nope, not mine. Unless somebody stole my pic for their auction. FYI that is built on an old Lage Max-11 Mk.1 upper.

That is Pure Awesome! ... Would love to do that to my M10/9 when it gets out of ATF jail in about 7 more months (ATF received Form 4 on 3/3/2020.)

I'm sure we all put a ton of upgrade parts into these little guns. They are so basic and simple from the factory, its like a blank canvas. Perfect for tinkering. I think the fact that the Ingram platform was the cheapest and most readily available transferrable for decades has led to a serious "Mac Modders" niche culture, since the majority of us are not afraid of altering the historical significance of these things.
