    Shooting steel for Mac-10/45?

Got a box of really cheap steel cased .45 and it shot with no problems out of my unmodified gg mags out of a mk1 MAX-45.

Before I purchase a case I wanted to see if this could have been a fluke or if other people have good experiences with steel cased .45?

I mostly use steel in my MACs. They are for having fun, not coveting, and replacement parts are cheap and easy to get. Look at the difference in the cost of 1000 rounds of steel vs brass and the cost of a new barrel. You can easily calculate the number of rounds when you start saving money.

If you are filthy rich then buy the brass - or are a reloader.

Hoping to use it in competition. Is yours reliable in .45?

I reload but steel costs (pre-C19) what my reloads cost and I don’t need to chase brass.

Runs perfect out of my OEM and 10/31 uppers.

I am using my 650 again because of the panic bs though. Seems easier to find cheaper components than loaded ammo so far...

Ingram loves steel. Any steel 9mm or 45acp.

I only have a stock M10 but it runs fine with GG mags and the high ROF. My M11/9 Max-31 only eats steel (sorry Mr. Lage, yes I read the manual.....) and does great with it. But then I'm not looking for sub 1 MOA accuracy out of my SMG. I do shoot brass in my M11-22!!!!!

Haha. I don't think I've ever seen steel .22 so that helps ;-)
Well it just came back into stock and it went from $0.24 a shot to $0.34. Sadness ensues.

I had a few boxes of that stuff. Man was it filthy. The bullets had a ton of grease on them and the powder was so smokey it was like shooting a 22 muzzle loader. Neat bird graphic on the box.
