If you had to marry your Mac to an upper, which one would it be?

May it never be so that they change the definition of the receiver of a mac, and force it to be married to the upper. But if they did let's assume you'd get to pick the upper.

    What upper would you choose?

Native upper for my M11A1 (with original and CFW bolt, and trilug barrel).

    Max 10/31 for my M10.

In practice I like the 31k and the native upper for the m10, but if I couldn’t switch around I would want overall largest and smallest configurations available to me.

If I had to pick just one? Well for me it would be easy, the original PS upper it came with in 1978.

Ultimac on one, and probably the Lage Max 10 on the other, although that one is a close toss up between the Max 10 and the 10/31. In fact, very soon those ARE the only uppers those guns will wear.

    Easy peasy.

The original Max11A1. Not that fancy dancy new aluminum model, the original all steel one. It's built like a tank and only increases the length of the of the M11A1 around 4 inches. No fumbling with suomi drums, its the tried and true hand meets hand method of replacing mags. Add the Lage grip to that and you have a nice funnel mouth to get the mags in quick.

I probably had one of the first ten of the uppers to hit the street and it has never left my lower.
My gun collection is one murderous rampage away from becoming an arsenal

I would have to buy 4-5 more Macs as it’s against my religion to play favorites with Mac uppers.

My two Jersey Arms say stripped receiver on the ATF paperwork and the barrel length was written in by the ATF Agent as 6 inch or 16 inch.

If there is a rule of law that says only one configuration, surely the same authority will stipulate that the upper will have to be an approved upper. Maybe not.

I'm just glad I don't have to choose. I have too many uppers to choose just 1.
