Adding Red Dot to stock M11 upper

I ha e a Lage 22lr kit on my factory M11 upper. I want to add a red dot to it. Only thing I could find is this. Any other options or ideas to adding one?

Some of the red dot makers have a steel or aluminum mounts available that are ready to use or easily modified. You can have the steel mounts or sections of picatinny blocks welded to an upper. Aluminum mounts can be mounted with screws. I made a custom steel mount for welding but today there are available options.

Thank you for the info but now you distracted me with that 22lr drum mag. Details please.

It was an experiment to connect a Lage 22LR mag that I made into a short pistol mag to a GSG 110 round drum. It was not as reliable as I would like so it was retired. Those drums are a PITA to load, more so than a AM180 drum.

Thank you Strobro. I thought it was something I can just purchase haha.

Gaujo, I'm not sure if those are compatible with my Lage 22lr kit but I'll look into it. Thank you.

Their idea of "in stock" and "available for backorder" are flexible and require patience for the wait and the inevitable excuses. Reminiscent of Karen at AAC, back in the day. YMMV

I think that depends on the kit you bought.
They are the same dimensions as a OEM upper. If you have one that matches to a lage upper you may have an issue.

Sparky, that's true. I bought a couple once and they came about 3 months later.

I have the 22 kit that fits the factor M11 upper like in Strobro's image. I'm just wondering how it's charged from the side vs the top.

Some MPA uppers need to have a small amount of material removed from a tab on the bottom of the upper to allow the trip to work. Takes a minute with a file or rotary tool.

MPA discontinuing their entire defender guns, all of the Mac clones will not longer be made. They are only going to make bolt action rifles and parts

Yes, you just have to cut a small notch on the mating surface (where it rests on the lower) to clear the trip. Only takes a couple of minutes with a Dremel -- use your factory upper to see where it goes.
