Derp phone still derps. It'll load the page saying it's on page 1 of 15 but no content. I expect nothing less from a gov website.

some years ago I had an idea for a thing and built/sold some of those things. looked in to getting a patent (mostly because I had a friend that's a patent attorney) and didnt because it took too long, cost too much money, and was generally too big of a pain in the ass.
which is a tale I'm sure many people have.

following thru is a really big deal. congratulations for a variety of reasons.

Just got a look at all 15 pages nice, really nice.

Now to get the big Mac and Little mac approved so the rest of us can throw money at you Richard.

Honestly I feel better paying up for your upper after seeing the drawings and how long the M11/9 has been out and running.

So many upper waiting for approval and money to be spent on them.

What a time to be a owner things are out there but not for retail sale.

    It hurts, hurts so bad.

We still need BATFs determination. The patent has no effect on BATF. The prototypes were submitted over a year ago. Im guessing we wont hear anything until Covid restrictions are lifted and government gets back to work.

I wish I didn’t think you are being optimistic.

There’s a lot of people that have been waiting on determinations a lot longer then a year. Some were at a year well prior to COVID. I think the days of determinations are over. What’s the point? They’ll just turn around and reverse their prior determination on a whim if they feel like it anyway. See Atkins, bumpstocks, AA12, Fostech Origin 12, most recently Q, and I’m sure I’m forgetting others. If they just stop making determs, then they don’t have to reverse them and look like fools later when political winds shift. Just my $.02.

Anybody have a 11/15 and a baby MAC ? Seems to me the 11/15 could be modified to work on the shorter receiver. That may be the path that those of us with M11A1s need to take. Seems like it should be doable with the standard AR buffer system (drilling the hole)

Congratulations Richard. You've achieved a goal my son also has, to design something to get a patent for.

Covid - 19 should not keep anyone at ATF from issuing a determination letter.

It's not like we're examining a Abrams tank or something that you couldn't evaluate over Doritos and beer.

It would be fascinating to know how much time ATF actually spends on a determination. Not elapsed time, actual work time.
