    50 round s31 zmags

Straight out of RetroEngraving’s laboratory. Reworked feedlips and Suomi tab tig welded on. Going to test it and a reworked 30
Rounder at a sub gun match this weekend. Hand Cycled snap caps through and it was smooth as butter. [IMG][/IMG]

Tabs for these protos were made on an end mill. Will need to see how they run this weekend.

Did you do a front indexing tab like a suomi box mag or just the back tab?

No, they are just like the s-31 zmags were done. They should work great with a death card adapter when doing mag swaps...

Possibly. He is considering a small run of them. Maybe (2) dozen or so. They won’t be cheap, as the 50 round zmags are about $50 each to buy. Then the feedlips need re-worked to be the right angle. The tabs would need to be made and welded on. Then paint the affected areas, then ship, etc. I guess it depends on what they would be worth. He is considering selling some on gunbroker first to see what the market will bear?

If they are a lower priced option to coffin mags

I might get some and a death card adapter too.

Can I get a double feed 36 rnd mag from clearview, cut off the catch and tig weld it to a regular shockwave mag? What other modification is needed?

Not really. The spacer is thicker on the ZMag and the feed lips need to be adjusted for the angle of the MAx31 upper. The Suomi stick mag catch has a 2 piece assembly so it would fall apart if you tried.
