I've used MBUS, I've used Troy's sights, and I find with both the rear circle is too small to practically keep on target at full auto. Anyone find any good alternatives? Needs to be folding as I'll be using it in conjunction with a red dot.

You can drill out your existing MBUIS rear sight to whatever diameter you wish, from just a bit bigger to Ghost Ring.

I really like the Matech’s personally as far as the rear sight goes, buuuut, it also has the small aperture that you don’t like.
I like those diopter h&k sites RTG sells.
Picked a setup up a while back and they are really nice on the max 10/31
I ended up getting mine off the parts forum for a bit cheaper then RTG.

But they not flip down. I want a setup that I can shoot in the optics category then quick detatch that and use the flip up irons for irons category. Don't like Seeing through the red dot for irons nor looking through irons to use red dot. .
True, they are fixed. True story when I was like 9 years old I thought “cowitness” was “cow tee ness” and I wondered what that was and what cows had to do with shooting!
In competition I used cowitness sights, shot optics first then removed the red dot to shoot sights. I simply used the sights through the red dot since I shoot better with them.

Get a set of folding diamond-style sights and dremel the top half of the apeture off. The diamond front and back will help you with quick, easy target acquisition, and you will still have ability for more precise shooting with the lower half of what was the aperture.
If its like the Diamondheads, even better. You can cut the bigger aperture, while preserving the smaller aperture for longer-range precision.
Put optic on a riser? But use lower fixed sights. Then they don’t interfere?
I've been trying to get a set of those for a while. I wondered if they are ever actually in stock.
OP, I assume you've tried folding the small aperture down on the MBUS to reveal the larger aperture?
I have a set of folding troy sights and the bigger aperture still bounces around a lot.
The new metal UTG back up sights are really slick, and nicely priced.
The HK diopter sights that Root suggested have option of "open V notch & post" configuration.
As I attempted explaining earlier, bisecting the top half off the aperture of a folding sight will effectively create an "open notch & post". The negative consequence of doing this is if the rear sight is too close to your eyes, the open V or U notch you have created will blur. This is suboptimal and why rear "open notch sights" are typically mounted in more forward positions on rifles. BUIS sights are all aperture for reason and they are superior to "open notch and post".
I am afraid options are going to be limited. Maybe if you describe more what you are seeking, better suggestions can be given to help?

The larger "ghost ring" aperture on the flip leaf of all the sights typically come standard at .200-inch diameter.
Perhaps someone can suggest a brand with more generous sized one. idk
Short of this, you might need modifying or fabricating something to your liking.
Have you flipped the diopter to the larger size?
