New ar15 trigger slap inducing full auto simulator.

Barrel is not blocked.
Case is not blown in 2 parts but very close.
This was factory reloaded ammo......coming out of the place in St. Helens ,Or most likely.

He's shot hundreds of rnds of this without issue.
Mag got nicked by a chunk of brass.
The rest seems ok after clean up.

The place that is or was in St. Helens ...I'm ONLY guessing is where its from as they are only 30 minutes away. This ammo was bought at local gun shop and they have lots of it.

tried 3.0 and 3.8 buffers'
have a 8oz buffer
what is the ideal buffer weight?
I get one round fired and second round chambers and then i get a light strike
I have gotten 2 9mm guns to run flawlessly and one 45
the pistol ctgs are supposed to be iffy. They run fine for me but NOT the 556
Any suggestions?

Have you checked the timing and the buffer spring? Go to quarterbore.com under AR-15/M16 for the timing check. Pistol caliber doesn't need as much energy from the recoil spring to strip a round from the pistol mags as the rifle rounds need to strip from the longer feed lips of the rifle caliber mags. As I recall the operator is direct impingement. How well does the upper throw brass on (a) semi? The standard carbine buffer (2.9 oz with 3 steel weights inside) is too light for full auto. The 3.8 oz (H1 has two steel weights and one tungsten) buffer is about as light as would work with a 16"/14.5" upper. Full auto tends to need a little more gas than semi auto as the bolt group not only strips the round from the mag, but must also trip the auto sear also. I might step up to a 4.7 (H2 has one steel weight and two tungsten) if the upper has a barrel of less than 14.5". There could be several small issues that together make for function problems. 8.0 oz would be for that .45 blowback upper. Since the direct impingement spreads the recoil pulse over several milliseconds instead of the blowback that is all at once, and the DI only needs enough recoil energy for function after the high pressure phase is almost complete, instead of holding the bolt closed during the high pressure phase of the pistol caliber blowback system. So an 8.0 oz buffer would add too much mass to the DI system. That extra mass would need more gas volume in the DI system for fuction.

My Rock River is a 16" barrel. I am ordering the H1, H2 and h3 buffers today and see what that does.
I never used the 8oz as I am sure it wouldnt fix anything.
The H1 is 4oz and h2 is 4.6 and the H3 is 5.5
It is a DIGS

Tac Con and success are rarely used in the same sentence.
But our own Concorde has posted an impressive video showing it is possible.
I can usually shoot faster with my standard trigger than my Tac Con. :-(
