Preliminary ATf approvals in place?
Welllllllllllllllllll I guess they’re doing approvals again or this approval was from WAY back when.
MAGPUL didn't come up with that concept, ARES did it first
going back even further, 1965(?) I had a toy gun that was disguised as a portable radio, "boom box", when you pressed the top button on the carry handle the barrel would go forward and the bottom half of the radio would swing out to be the stock the sight was incorporated in the carry handle.
I kinda wonder if Dave Boatman took that concept to make his version of the ARES FMG

still wish I had that toy

There are reported to be 70 transferrable UC9 folding submachine guns (early 80's).
Yes there were (I'm not certain about the numbers). Those receivers were around for a while and came up for sale a few years ago.

The above website is where they appeared for sale. I remember them being around 14,000 when an Uzi was available for around 10,000. The website lists them now for 16,500. As I recall, they were pretty fast shooting.
Here's a video of the alleged inventor.

My gun collection is one murderous rampage away from becoming an arsenal
I remember seeing a folding SMG listed for sale in Shotgun News back in the early 90s.

Ebay is your friend.
I will take one please... I hope that they do something with that awful looking hinge. Looks to be basically a ZEV long barreled GLOCK with a box frame around it, and a folding stock.
