Max31-K....is this happening for sure?

Well, I emailed to get on the list. I think I’d like to hold one before I commit, maybe. Anyone guesstimate the rate of fire or know if it uses the variable buffers? If I like it, I’ll probably have a well used Mark I for sale.

@strobo that picture you posted of the glock mag in the max 31 is with the default max 31 magwell? If so, I think I just might order a max 31, because I'm pretty sure we can 3D print an adapter for that. Being able to use glock mags in these would be swell.

That's true.

A while back I made a quicky adapter to use the unmodified Zytels, PAM II mags, ZMags, and even M-11/22 mags for the OEM Max31. It was very reliable because it held the mags perpendicular in the Mac31's angled magwell. It was ugly but it worked very well. I sold it and was wondering if someone else made one.

What was the idea behind changing the angle of the mag well? To allow the use of other mags?

Yes. To have options for other mags.
