Its going to be up to Lage if another run happens and this assume he buys the whole run or a large part of it to sell on his site.

I think a 35 or 40 round size would have made it more popular. And as mentioned earlier in thread, when they first came out, it was mostly to buy one for novelty and sizing vs. drums which were only a little more.

No, it's not only up to Lage. If we pooled together enough $$$ I'm sure we could convince someone to make a run of them.

I wonder if CSSpecs would be halfway interested.

Converting regular zmags to Suomi style ones is a good option. The price for the tabs can be reasonable if bought in bulk. Grinding and re-shaping feedlips is not bad if there were enough numbers to do a large batch. Same with welding on the tabs and coating. The problem would be Doing a dozen or so at a time. There is no money in it at a price many would be willing to pay.

I think it's time for a new manufacturer. This time the mags are finished inside... and out, allow the OEM stock to open and close with the mag inserted, and have a consistent width and depth. I hope someone steps up and makes all stainless steel components, laser-welded seems and a Nitride finish. The mags will only cost $69 a piece, but last forever.

If everyone wants cheap zmag-s just convert Sten mags. Tabs are easy to make or cheap in bulk. Squish a sten mag, silver solder a tab on the back. Boom. Done. I've done a dozen or so. Sometimes sten lips need to be touched up but that's easy to do with a few minutes and a few snap caps.

I know we had a dude here convert a bunch a while back.

You could also just have a forward Z-Mag magwell or adapter

I wish we could just figure out dual feed and use Suomi sticks

Nah. I got 6. These are for competition where you're limited to 30 rounds.

Strobo, $69 for an all stainless mag sounds like a bargain. If somebody does that, everyone better jump on those. I know I will. Do you know someone who is planning to do this that hasn’t gone public yet?

$69 would barely buy the metal to make the stainless flat.

That's what I do. Squish them into spec. Havnt had one hiccup yet due to it. No need to grind material away and reduce the integrity of the mag. Literally a big vice and a soft touch. Keep calipers and your upper near you to test. Squish then solder.

I like the stick mags when I run a foregrip. The drums are a little harder to get around them and still reach the grip. I still think there are enough new shooters, people who didn’t order enough, to reach the 1000 mags or so, especially with the “C” model coming out...

I know the prev run was 2000 mags. They sold for 42? Or 49.00 if I remember right. Let’s say 25.00 of that was profit. Start with 1000 mags, sell them for 70/75.00 and still make the same profit. The R&D has already been done, the tools made and the machining already made. Would the profit not be the same or even higher?

These work good for me. About as good as zmags, admittedly- though I’ve done no performance analysis.

So I signed up for two, and I'd buy two if they were available, but I don't really get the appeal other than that people want what they can't have. (Honestly I want an zmag-s just because they arn't made.) The max31 was developed to run drums, that's kind of what they were built around. If you don't want to run drums but do want to run shockwave mags then just get a max11 mk2. You'll have about the same rate of fire in a more compact package and your grip will once again be gainfully employed. A max31 with a stick mag doesn't do much more than just move the magazine further ahead. I lean libertarian though so to each their own.
