Question from a Cobray rookie
I see people talking about a 'pre-ban' M11 Cobray but I am unsure of what constitutes a pre-ban vs post. I know that with my HBAR Colt it's broken down by serial number, as that indicates when it was built. Is this the same for M11s, and is there a listing or guide I could look at to figure out an M11? I would assume so, but don't know much about the M11s. Thanks in advance for any info,
Andy

The prefix of the serial helps date the m11/9s.
89-xxxxx versus 94-xxxxx for example.

Features of a post ban are non threaded barrel and magazine release that needs a screwdriver. Other than that I don’t think there are any physical differences. Barrel is easy to change or upper could just be swapped out. The mag release is not easy unless you weld on a new mag well.

In Oregon it don't matter yet.....that I'm aware of.
A lot of what you see on GB is BS and inflated prices for crap guns.
In some states it probly matters but do your homework.
Local pawn shop on the west side of Cascades is trying for 1500$ for semi 10's & 11's..Closed bolt . 1 is a Vulcan the other mpa.
1 on NWFA for 800 if your on that site...even that is twice too much as far as I'm concerned.
It is a SWD..so likely older. If your gonna pony up a bunch of cash...look for an open Bolt
They are all pre everything...
