Holy Grail transferable Russian RPD machine gun

    https://gunspot.com/listings/detail/...t-machine-gun/

All I have to say is: wow. I always wondered if these existed in transferable form.

Imported to the US prior to the 1968 deadline, this is a rare, true Russian, NFA registered and fully transferable all Russian machine gun. It is C&R eligible and it is currently on a Form 3 with the manufacturer noted as "Russian Federation" and the model as "RPD." This transferable light machine gun is in overall excellent condition. The bore is still bright and shiny and the internals are in very good condition, with only limited wear noted.

I wonder if it's a bringback that was registered during the '68 amnesty.

Ad says it was imported pre-68.

It could have been "imported" in a vet's rucksack. However, it's likely that they would identify it as amnesty registered if it was.

I heard of a vet who brought back a Chinese AK from Vietnam. On the plane, they only made him remove the swing down bayonet. Haha

I love how it was ok to take an MG back to the states from a war zone in that situation, but it couldn't have the bayonet on it.

Sounds like some of the ridiculous rules those out in California have to live by. Don't forget that evil heat shield. It looks so scary that it cannot be permitted. Makes a "regular" gun perform at assault rifle levels I would guess. Or, on a shotgun it assists in keeping you from melting your finger on the barrel, you decide.
