Just FYI everyone per Ms. Jackie/Lage "The MAX-10/31k does not have the trigger guard filler." Take that one to the bank.
Ok, so why does the Max-31C have it and can I remove it?
Never mind, looking at it I do not believe it can be removed. At least by me.
M11a1 m31k and m11/9 m31c![]()
Very Nice pair ya have there Ray!
^ since I’ve shot both, the bolt travel is the same. The 31c has a 2” spacer block making it equal to the 31k. That being said my 31c had an additional buffer stack and the red dot had a smaller dance pattern on the target (smoother) than the other gun that didn’t have additional spacers.
Similar to adding buffers to an Uzi to smooth it out.
Get both! - I'm in the same boat, but you can't trust the crooks in DC to do the right thing, especially anything related to 2A rights. Why risk trusting them not to steal even more of our rights? Not fear mongering, just the reality.
They are both really smooth, I have only shot the m31C one drum,So I don’t have that much time behind it .I put a CFW-A bolt In the 31K A1 but needed a longer ejection rod because the bolt is shorter didn’t know which one to use any advice ? I seen a video Vegas SMG doing it I don’t know exactly what he used
I’m 5’ 7” and with the forward canted grip, I have no problems with a drum.

You need the forward grip. With it there’s no ergonomic issue at all.
The only thing you’ll notice is the weight of a loaded drum out front. You feel the inertia carrying it around.
Feels like driving a big 1980’s Cadillac around curves at speed.
I’m keeping my 31 upper on it all the time as it’s pretty wicked to shoot and drums are easy to load.
My stock upper and cfw bolt are now safe queens.
