Hi folks,
As you know i'm pretty deep in to the FNC world. I think i can say that i have seen and touched more FNC's as most people on the planet.
Anyway, last week i got my hands on a real FN made green FNC AK5.
I had only a short moment to take pics in crapy light conditions and only my phone at hand. The owner is not the type that react on money, only by trading things he is interested. So, the struggle goes on to get it in my collection.
So sry for the picture quality being not what you are used to see from me but hey, better then nothing. I challenge you to find better on the internet.
Part2 in the next post
Some remarks.
the bolt hold open does not function on empty mags. The "finger" is to short and works only manualy. The shape is close to a FN CAL or the new FN SCAR, i show that later since i got my hands on SCAR MK17 Mod0 ; )
The folding stock mechanism is the same as on the Dutch Trial FNC's.
The front handguards have the reïnforced tabs welded in. but still the rivets.
The boltcarrier and bolt are hand serialised. Probably due the local regulations that essential parts need serrials.
The gasblock is unique.
There is no "3" burst position, only semi and full. The burst assy cassette is empty.
This trial rifle was used for evaluations by the Swedish army, later, Bofors factory localy made the AK5, just as Pindad made the SS1 localy
