I'd want one too. Is it CNCd?
Very cool.
Hope to see this available for sale.
Very cool. Would purchase one if you make them.
I'm all about this if you make a kit I love shooting 22 in my macs
Next Q, is Richard committed to keep making those mags?
M11, yes please.
Nope, at this point I have no interest in developing an 22lr upper with its own attached mag well. Not until the atf starts approving some of the existing upper in that design. This uppers is just like the factory upper in function and design for them to be able to dis approve of it the will also have to include all factory uppers as well.
I think Lage sources the springs for the BlackDog bodies and followers.
Those springs are currently not readily available even from Lage.
I personally wouldn't invest in this project without securing a source for the springs.
My name is actually Scott and I really do live in Texas.
I know, not very creative but it is factual.
By the way - Facebook is truly evil; resist the urge to participate.
Yeah, having only one mag source sucks and I'm not really that impressed with the mags. I've never had rim lock like I have with these mags. What I was thinking of trying at some point was using the guts from a ar15 22lr mag, use the steel feed lips, spring and follower design my own body and cnc it out of aluminum. Here are the ar15 22lr guts and the Lage. The springs look the same except for the length.
A curve after the magwell would probably help. Like an AR mag.
I've been in contact with Jackie at Lage re: the .22 mags and my understanding is that they will continue to stock and sell them, but Black Dog is very behind in orders and there is a lag in restocking. It's a little frustrating, but I have had nothing but good experiences dealing with Lage and suspect that this will be resolved soon enough.
Been trying to find a few of those mags with no luck![]()
Following this project, would be interested in a kit if it becomes available.
