I'll take one.![]()
Everything is behind right now in the gun world (it seems).
I'd like a kit.
I'll just send it off to Strobo, Chili, or Medphys (no particular order) to get it running if problems...bwaaaaah!
AWWWW NUTS!
REAL MEN DRIVE MIATAS
Maybe I got a bad bunch. Most would not even unload a round after loading. There was a tight spot about 1/2 down from the feed lips that the rounds hung on. kickstand pointed me to a tuning thread here about the mags. I ended up taking measurements and 3d printed a Popsicle stick doohicky thing and glued some fine emery cloth to it. 10 - 15 seconds of sanding fixed that issue.
I use that same McFadden Wonder Loader thingamabob too, sure makes loading easy but I still get a rim lock in 1 out of 4 or 5 mags. Haven't taken the time to mark the mag to see if it is happening in the same mag yet.
Yah, you want to number all of your mags. With MG's it's kinda necessary to keep track of the trouble makers. But then you can fix them too.
Interested in a kit.
If you go the kit route I would like to have the opportunity to get one. Thank you!
I'd be in for a kit for sure, love tinkering.
I'd be up for trying one. Add me to the list if and when it is available for market. Only gripe on this though is the mags. My Lage kit works great, the mags not so much. I figure on at least a 3% jam rate and that is after I have made improvements. I'm still hoping that someday there is a .22 upper that runs 10/22 mags.
The Fleming 22 upper for the M11 took the Ruger 10/22mags. I had one for years. Shouldn't have let it go.
One of the main reasons I am not interested in this .22 upper is the 4.5" barrel. The short length does keep a lot of ammo subsonic, but in my experience, it also limits the reliability of a number ammo types as well. Particularly the lower cost, bulk ammo that I tend to use for .22 full auto shooting.
The use of specialty mags is another downside I do not care for. Either 12/22 or Atchisson pattern AR .22 mags are the magazine patterns I would consider.

Best of luck.
MHO, YMMV, etc. Be well.
Different strokes for different folks.
I think going to a longer barrel so the crappiest ammo will run is a poor solution. I like the ability to quickly swap out recoil springs. -10 for low power rounds and subsonics +10 for hot ammo and standard springs for average ammo. And any combo one +10 and a standard or a -10 and a standard.
I wanted as small as a package as possible and adding an ar15 or 10/22 mag well would increase the size larger then I wanted and having a side mounted mag well is just plan awkward to me so I used the mags that were available that fit in the existing mag well.
I think it's a good design. I'm curious about the internals? Is this a patenting situation, and what are your plans for production buddy?
would love one of these

So I really don't understand where you are going with this question. Can I sell you my factory 9mm upper from my m11 or any of its parts ? The only difference between this upper and the factory upper is the caliber. It has a receiver/barrel/bolt/recoil system and the back of the receiver is open. It does not have a mag well or hold its own ammo just like the factory upper. For it to be considered an firearm/machine gun or anything else the factory uppers will have to also be classified the same way. Now things could change with any new rulings the atf comes out with in regards to what makes up a firearm but until then this is simply an upper for the m11.
To answer your other question above I don't have a plan yet for marketing these. I do not have the equipment to mass produce anything. If someone like Richard would like to I am more than willing to work with them just like I did with my m11 prototype that became the max-11/15. If he has no interest there is someone else I may know who might. If no one has an interest and there is enough people wanting a kit I might consider trying to find someone to make the parts. Right now I am still tweaking some things and I haven't approached anyone.
mak91 - your innovation is awesome, appreciate help you've given me. I'm definitely down for one however it works out, some other outfit making them or a kit of any type.
I found some longer springs and extended the recoil system to take advantage of the longer stroke of the long frame m11. I've got some other springs on order which I think will reduce the rate of fire even more but here is how it runs currently.

The new ROF is 1046 RPM.
Can photos of the bolt assembly be uploaded?
