Max 11/15 bolt will not release

    So… I have a m11/9 that came with a max11/15 upper

I cannot get the bolt to release from the latch hole after installing the upper and lower together.
Is there something silly that I’m missing?

Everything appears to be installed properly per the instructions
Is it possible that the actual latch has been bent too much? Or the hook is out of wack?

Thanks in advance for any help

Its in the instructions that that latch can take a permanent bend to far down. Try pulling it up to increase the distance from the tip to the rod when not installed. The instructions are on lages site.

Based on the drawing, it looks like bend #1 might have a larger than 90 degree bend.

    Thank you for the drawing.
I couldn’t find anything that was specific to the IRM with the directions online.

I made a bend at #1 and it is currently releasing the bolt now.
I did bend it earlier, but it seemed to be very soft/easy to bend, so I may have moved it back to the original position inadvertently.

You are welcome. I had the same issue shortly after I received my MAX 11/15. I have one of the early ones and like you I couldn’t find any info on it. I reached out to Richard and he sent me the drawing the next day. I have not had any issues since. Lage Cutomer service is the gold standard.
