    M11 takedown pin repair

Hello, I've got an M11 (pre-reinforcement tab) that's got slightly elongated takedown pin holes. (The installed upper has maybe 1-2mm play fore and aft.) I'm looking for a gunsmith with experience welding in reinforcement tabs and repairing the egged pin holes. Any recommendations are appreciated, photos of completed work would be even better.

I am in the Florida panhandle and can do it....if local as I don't have my FFL yet.

I have fixed take down holes and installed reinforcement tabs on 2 M11s. It requires fixtures to control the heat transfer to the frame. I would only trust a M11 professional with experience for repair, adding reinforcement tabs and fixing egged holes. Check your selector holes, I bet they are egged too.

Here is a thread where C&S shares with DIY'ers how to do rear weld repair on the back of the receiver. It gives a good idea of the concerns of frame repair. Post #16.

Thank you all. I spoke with Sam at PS yesterday. I'm going to go blast this thing a few more times and then send it off for repair/updating.
