    Mckay Receiver

    Slowly making progress on a build with a Mckay receiver and Mckay bolt. Next is to determine what recoil spring is needed for the bolt. I'm seeing that the full auto recoil spring is needed for the Mckay bolt having tolerances for that spring. Or is the standard semi auto spring needed?

    Found some info on here that the McKay bolt is machined deeper to work with the standard FA spring.

    Yes you use a SMG recoil spring and cut the fiber pad off of it. I think some or most of my McKay bolts shipped with instructions.

    Was under the impression that McKay bolts were modified full auto bolts...
