parts

I have all the springs and have made firing pins, extractors and plungers for that AC556 kit. Just got to heat treat the parts and they are ready.

I'd like to see pics of those. Sounds like all of your parts, other than the extra chamber adaptor are reasonable spare parts to have on hand. I've put off ordering anything because of all I've heard about dealing with JAC.

While we're on the subject of .22 conversion kits, does anyone else have horrible leading problems with theirs? I run a bore snake through mine every three or four mags, but still have lots of leading to deal with. It's fun to blast with the .22 kit, but a pain to not be able to run more than a few mags through it before getting out the cleaning junk! I've had no trouble running about 1500 rounds of .223 through my AC in one day, other than a littel grease on the bolt contact areas.

I just got back from deer hunting and see that we have 250 of the new .22/AC556 mags in the shop. They fit perfect in my 2 test guns and I have all the mods you have requested done as well. The mags are also made of a smoke 5% glass filled polycarbonate so should be stronger.

Here is a picture of the two chamber adaptor. Please excuse the clarity, all I have for a camera right now is an Iphone.

The new adaptor with the ramp is on the left, the old one is on the right. Upgrading to the new chamber adaptor with the ramp should solve all of your problems.

JAC is easy to deal with. I type up a letter listing what I want and send it to him with a USPS MO for payment. A week or 2 later, my parts show up. Everything I have ordered from him I have received with no problems.

Wow, big difference! I filed a small feed ramp into it, but it's nowhere near what you've got there. I guess I"ll go ahead and order one. Hopefully that, along with the new followers from BDM will solve my troubles!

Thanks for the prodding!

After several trips to the range and tons of problems, I isolated all of my problems to the chamber adaptor. When I replaced it with a new damped one, the gun ran flawlessly. No more nose dives, and no more leading issues. The leading issues I bad was when the ammo would feed into the old adaptor, after a few rounds the rounds would not go fully into the chamber.

Let me know what happens.

Damn, this is the first i heard of improved feed ramp chamber adapters.
I want one.
My kit runs very well, BUT I want one of these improved ones.
The problem is that I wont send JAC any of my money directly, He has one of the worst reps in the biz!
You would be a fool to send him money.
So now what, I cant have one? Is there any other way to get one?
Maybe we can get a group buy going and force The order on him with a credit card only demand purchace. JAC only wants checks and MO from people because people using credit cards have protection rights. Maybe I need to put my values on hold, bite the bullet and send him some money.
Remember JAC is the ass that charged customers $10 when they called on the phone to ask the status on their shipment that was past due.
He is also the ass that sold 22 AR kits for MSRP plus a EXTRA surcharge at knob creek when customers were not getting their orders via mail order.

$20 each 10 or more.
Man you are killing me! That is a GREAT PRICE!
Is that a limited time price on this 250 run?
I was hoping to get some feedback before I ordered 10 but now I am afraid that this price wont last?

xm15e2s,

Bite the bullet and order the chamber adaptor. I'm not selling my spare one!

You will like the mags, new material and with all the changes you all wanted. The fit is perfect. I dont have any plans to raise the price, I think we ran 300 mag bodies this time.

What about drums?

Kevin, I already have 10+ mags I ordered from the last production. The new mags sound very tempting, but I am looking forward to a drum.

xm15e2s, follow the ordering instructions on JAC website and you should be good to go. I ordered some replacement items and received them without a problem. I didn't want to deal with JAC either, but I didn't have a choice.

Well, i now own a chamber adapter with feedramp. and didnt have to send JAC money.
Found it in a NIB kit a person had for sale. Bought the whole kit.
I wonder when "what year" ciener stopped shipping old style and started shipping new style adapters. This guy said this kit is about 18 months old and it came with the improved ramp.
Do many of you have the old style?

ALSO.... Looking for a review on these new batch BDM mags.
PLEASE post as soon as someone gets a new mag in their hands.
Dont need a range report, only a fit and lockup and finish review as compared to the old tight ones.
