Hey Bluejack, I just picked up one of these myself but have not been able to fire it yet. I have a Wiselite PPSH41 which runs good on S@B and Privi Partisan. I had some Ugo which seemed to have hard primers and didnt cook off some times, also i had bought some Bulgarian surplus from sportsmans guide and it works well in my TT-33 Pistol but is to dirty and underpowered to cycle the PPSH. I still have a **** load of it and i hope it works in the sterling. Unfortuantly it looks like 7.62 Tok surplus is drying up. Hope that helps a little.

What kind of quality do those wiselite converted magazines you received have? Do they look like they are well put together? I ask, because not long ago some said, that those from other sources looked like they had been cheaply cobbled together. |

Thanks, yeah I saw the red markings but I wasnt sure if the manufacturer did that or the poster marked his mags to keep them seperate. I didnt THINK regular STEN mags were long enough. |

I didn't know that SG had Bulgarian 7.62x25, but I did buy a crate of their Polish ammo and I've had no problems with hard primers in the pair of pistols. It's 1950s production and HOT. It has the typical brass case splitting issues from the stab crimp that Polish ammo is known for, but I've never seen anyone have issues with it in either the pistols or full auto PPSh-41, PPS-43, or the M-16 conversion. I also purchased about 500 rounds of Wolf and S&B ammo from a local guy who got rid of his TT-33 for almost the same price as the surplus 7.62x25. I haven't shot the Wolf ammo yet, but the S&B is plenty hot and has no hard primer issues. I shoot two Vintage Military Rifle matches that require six shots with a vintage pistol. It's nice not having to clean the pistol after six rounds and then shoot six more the following weekend. |

Thanks O_B. ![]() I have been thinking of getting a 7.62 barrel and the heavier spring for my Sterling. The mag question was all that has been holding me back. |

Now that helps allot. Thank you Traveler. By the way I redid my Sterling again, and it turned out even better this time. Now I am finally satisfied with it. After it finishes curing I will post pics. |

Open Bolts posted a picture of a very nice looking MP28 mag that was fused with PPSh-41 mag. See post 4 in this thread. You might be able to do something like it by fusing the feed lips from a STEN mag to a PPSh-41 mag.
