    While the trunion may not be true to the receiver, it should be true to the barrel so should be fine. You can always check with a rod as well.

    Also bear in mind that the barrel nut mount that Gemtech made that I am selling interfaces with the OD of the barrel as well for alignment. So it is basically a two point mount, threads to trunion and also aligns with the barrel.
