    Quick question

I don't see why it wouldn't, but will an R5 front sight hood interchange with a Galil front sight hood? I think the only difference is the Galil has a spring on the bottom, the R4/5/6 series does not. Right?

    Jeff Miller @ Hillbilly Firearms

What you said on the Files is right - you have to take the good with the bad. Will this gun have problems? Don't know. I do know that it can't be any worse than the clowns that originally built it for me. He has a guarantee listed on his website, have you tried that route to resolve your issues...

    Jeff Miller @ Hillbilly Firearms

I finally got my Galil today. I wrote a review of the first 'iteration' it went through - never ever never trust Northwest Gun Supply (Nampa Idaho) to do anything correctly. See here. https://www.falfiles.com/threads/nwgs-galil-arm.457436/ Anyways, what a difference a good smith makes from...

KNS precision/adjustable gas piston for Galil?

My KnS experience With a PSL, it gave me this using out of the box PPU 150gr SP ammo, plus didn't mangle the brass. that's 7 rounds. Jeff Miller has my Galil now and I sent a KnS with it.

KNS Precision AK adjustable gas piston

I put one on my PSL, and when my Galil gets finished at Hillbilly it will have one as well. The PSL went from shooting dinner plate groups at 100 down to this. And the brass casings aren't mangled and can be reloaded. Very happy with KNS. 7 rounds.

    Question from a Cobray rookie

I see people talking about a 'pre-ban' M11 Cobray but I am unsure of what constitutes a pre-ban vs post. I know that with my HBAR Colt it's broken down by serial number, as that indicates when it was built. Is this the same for M11s, and is there a listing or guide I could look at to figure out...

    buttstock tube?

I do need one Jeff. You should get the rifle Tuesday. Still snowing here in Oregon. Hasn't stopped actually. That's an outhouse at a campground, almost buried. Taken out the window of a SnoCat.

    buttstock tube?

Mr. Miller said that when the buttstock gets refinished, many of the tubes will not come off and get destroyed. It's the plastic tubing on the top portion of the buttstock. I tried to rotate mine and it doesn't seem to want to move. I'm getting ready to send it to him to rebuild and refinish.

    buttstock tube?

Question for everybody. Does anyone know where to get a butt stock 'tube' for a Galil? I'm getting ready to send mine to Hillbilly and can't find one anywhere. Some one on here told me what size of carbon fiber tube I could use but I didn't write it down. Thanks in advance, Andy

    10/12 Round magazines

Thanks man! I ordered 3 of them last night. I found a picture showing exactly what part of the MAGPUL follower needs filed on.

    10/12 Round magazines

Yep. Looks to be pretty easy. But my next OOPS - where would I get followers for a Galil, as the follower will no longer work. Unless I'm missing something obvious. I saw an older post on another site that says CMMG AR followers will work, although the hump is on the opposite side from a Galil...

Thanks man! Hoping removing the block off isn't a life altering event.

    10/12 Round magazines

Finally figured out (I think) that they are the same animal. They were blocked to prevent loading of ball ammo and only allow blanks to be loaded. All that aside, where is the best place to get them from? I see some for sale that still have the block in them, some it's already removed. I would...

    Galil Night Sight Restore

I don't know if this has been posted before, but very good video explaining how to replace tritium vials. I'm going to do my Galil sights. You need three 1.5x6MM vials. One thing I do know is the two rear sight tritium tubes come up from the bottom of the sight, the front one slides straight...

    Hello all (with shame)

If the barrel was populated without being at the correct torque, about the only thing that would save that barrel is the use of a breeching washer. Some FALs (notably the L1A1) use them to correct timing issues. But that's a guessing game to get it to time at 12:00 with the correct torque. I am...

    Hello all (with shame)

The barrel is supposed to be initially torqued to 150' pounds, x 3 reps. That info from Jeff Miller and from a Depot level armorer for Armscor(?) who built R4,5,and 6s for SADF. That seems like you must have 'budged' a lot if the barrel was torqued correctly. May I ask if this was a build from...

New here, looking for a barrel

I'm going to go with a barrel from Jeff Miller. Thanks to all who wrote me.
