    A chrome Uzi?

http://www.gunbroker.com/auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=13839409 Is that a factory deal or bling bling got ahold of it later?

Any one Build A UZI ?

The big problem isn't finding a receiver IMHO but finding a decent semi-auto parts kit. Not many of the parts from the FA parts kits (most common) will work for a semi build. By the time you're done you will be close to a new Uzi from Vector. Few hundred more & you can have an IMI in pre-ban form.

    What's your favorite .45 pistol?

Another vote for the Sig P220.

    History Channel "Guns of Israel"

Haven't seen it but could be interesting. Wonder if they will re-run it again anytime soon?

    Take this to the range!

Rifle? That looks like a pistol dropped into the front with a stock/pistol grip grafted on.

ATF crackdown on Corp. NFA ownership

Sounds like BS right now but could very well happen in the future. I figure it is simply a matter of time before the weapons in the NFA registry are confiscated. Probably won't be a "kick in your door" type confiscation, just that no new transfers will be permitted & existing weapons will have...

    My "new" Sig P228

Well I found somebody on Sigforum.com who traded me parts (my DAO stuff for his DA/SA) so I could do the conversion. I detailed stripped the gun, installed the parts, had Trijicon replace the night sight lamps ($58), got new Hogue grips & hex screws. Much better now. :D

Thinking about a Norinco UZI project...

Since the Norinco is a post '89 ban gun, you would still need US parts. 922 & SBR are two totally different sets of rules. NFA transferrable machine guns do not need 922 parts because they ceased production in 1986. The import parts regulations didn't show up until November 1989. You can still...

Maybe you need a semi-auto feed ramp?

    NIB Vector...shoot it or not?!

Unless you can afford 2 (1 to shoot & one to keep as a safe queen) I would advise against leaving it NIB. It is a gun! It's made to be shot - often. :cool

    My "new" Sig P228

Didn't realize it was DAO but that'll be ok for me. I can convert it later if I want to DA/SA. It is a former cop gun. Came with 1 hi-cap mag which is in excellent shape. The slide is worn & the Trijicon's seem about dead. It is a KA date code which is 1990 if I remember correctly. Formerly...

    Norinco 9mm ammo

The stuff in the red box? I have some..... '93 headstamp. 124gr. Golden egg bullets. Works perfectly in my Uzi model B carbine.

    Pre-ban UZI

A registered bolt will cost you $3k. A registered receiver UZI will cost you about $4k right now. A pre-ban Uzi of any kind will cost you at least $1k so you would be better off just buying a RR model IMHO. Registered bolts are also VERY hard to come by these days, regardless of cost.

    armalite airsoft.

I've seen some that look pretty cool but I could never get excited about plastic bb's after shooting the real thing.

    Stinger Pen Gun

They just shoot .22lr right? Seems like it wouldn't be much of a defensive weapon unless you were able to stick it up against the perp's head. You'd probably be better off with a pocket knife at that point.

    UZI reliability

I've thought about it..... but for the time being decided to hold off on it. More because of jumping through hoops than the actual cost involved.

Well it worked better after I got the 20 brass cases out of the ejection port. :D

    Hogue Uzi grips anyone???????

Has anyone contacted Hogue to propose this product offering?

    UZI reliability

Well I'm too poor to afford an NFA weapon & my CLEO wouldn't sign anyways. (Only police have a need for such evil weapons, they are a no-no for the rest of us :mad) Anyways, I have an Uzi carbine model B & have never had any trouble with it. (FTF, FTE, etc) Never used hollowpoints though. Most...
