Need to get an Idea of value

Really depends on what exactly you have. For full auto or semi guns? Pics would help.

RIA auction 2/21/25 NFA prices realized

My guess? 1) No transferable PM12s in the registry until these samples were reclassified. 2) Not that many were reclassified. 3) That particular one looked like it was in new condition. So the ones that have popped up for sale (not in an auction) have been selling around $50-$60k. And...

Thoughts on future UZI SMG prices

Depending on how it was converted and it's condition, between $13-$18k.

ATF is adding 4000 transferable Machineguns to the registry including many MP-5’s.

Sure... But maybe 10-20 years too early! But hey, if you have the money to spend and the time to wait, I say more power to you! After all, it's really hard to put a monetary value on the happiness owning some of these brings.

I wouldn't rely on those auction prices as a reliable indicator of where the market is at with these newly transferable MGs. If you're thinking of asking anywhere close to those numbers, I'm afraid you'll be in for a long wait. Especially where the full sized UZI is concerned. $37k for a full...

What you say sounds correct, as far as I can tell based on what I'm seeing. I would add, however, I believe that any post 86 firearms, regardless if imported for or used by a government agency, will still bear their restricted status.

Thoughts on future UZI SMG prices

If there ever was an amnesty, I suspect it would only be for undeclared war trophies. Actual bring backs that missed the '68 registration period. Not for guys to drill as many 3rd holes in AR lowers as they could in 90 days, or register as many Glock switches as they could afford. They would...

is this best UZI FA ?

If someone buys one of these ex-pre-may samples and at some time down the road, the regs regarding these ex-samples, the new owner has no legs to stand on legally to expect a refund from the dealer he bought it from. Because at the time of purchase, the gun was transferable and did transfer to...

Thoughts on future UZI SMG prices

The NFA isn't going anywhere. There will never be a time when FA is only as restricted as title 1 firearms and you'll never, ever walk into a Wallmart and ask to see the M60 in the rack, pay for it and fill out a 4473 and take it home. NEVER. There are only a limited number of legal MG's...

New Here looking for first SMG

Dude said he's "always wanted an UZI". If he would have wrote that he was looking for a "do-it-all lego MG on a budget", then the MAC would have been a good recommendation, but a MAC isn't an UZI, it's just a lead slinging bullet hose.

New Here looking for first SMG

Is that the same advice you'd give someone looking for a car? When you have options, it's wise to explore them all and choose the best one for you, not "just find something and go with it". A transferable MG is a rather large expenditure for most people, and just like a car, its not a purchase...

    Pre-86 to transferable

I would respectfully disagree. I have met a lot of 07 SOT holders and most of them lack the brain cells to even assemble an AR kit. Most of them sub out all their builds to actual builders and a lot of them don't even have the basic tools for welding or machining, let alone the skill to use...

    Pre-86 to transferable

Just an observation, but I doubt even one percent of 07 SOT holders, past or current, have ever designed anything new, let alone even thought of designing anything new that might fall under the definition of "R&D". Most of them use the SOT portion to make money buying and selling stuff like...

New Here looking for first SMG

That begs the question, why would you need to move the bolt around to different hosts? Once you have a functioning host, there's no reason to want to move it. It's not like you could ever wear out the host. It's not a Hk sear and you can use it in anything from 9mm to belt feds. Without...

In a "Ford -vs Chevy" thing, you left out Chrysler. In this example, Chrysler will represent IMI, the original manufacturer of the UZI.

    Pre-86 to transferable

Why would "collectors" lose? I have to assume you're talking about individuals (non-SOT) who buy these former samples on a form 4 as an individual. So if this ruling gets rolled back, do you think these people (non-SOT) who are currently in possession of these previous samples will be...

Finally got the Uzi SMG working correctly

I've been contemplating just how to have a gun buried with me without anyone knowing so they don't dig me up to steal it. I woundn't trust a funeral home to do it, or to keep that info private. And I don't know how to have my wife sneak something into my casket and seal it without anyone...

What wording/format (hand written letter or email) and address did you have to use to get that reply from the AFT? I sent in a request months ago and got nothing but crickets back.
