Lewis & Black Micro Galil Parts Kits "Left-Handed vs Right-Handed" Charging

As best as I can tell, the left handed vs right handed was not a parts progression or a "early vs late" feature but depended on the order. At least in regards to the later MARs that are the most common. There are at least 6 different variations of them. Stocks, handguards, charging handle...

Galil AR and SAR parts kits

If you cannot meet the USD "threshhold" for direct from Israel, the same rifles are sold in Europe out of Austria. Wouldn't be any cheaper, but might be easier paperwork wise.

The latest NIB M16A2 Carbine - look it over

In regards to the ink stamp; In 1995, I was issued a fairly new M-16A2 at Ft.Bragg... S/N 6213499... My team SGT had 498. Neither had ink stamps. The only M16/M4s I I saw with the ink stamp during this time period were the Anniston Army depot specials, which were M16A1 lowers rebuilt into A2s.

Galil Literature Compendium - Articles, Manuals, and More

Thanks for the tips. Allot of it comes from not knowing what something is, and having to research it AFTER the photos were taken. For the ARM, the owner (a Austrian weapons dealer) didn't know anything, just that it didn't take standard Galil mags and that he didn't have one. I had to write...

Galil Literature Compendium - Articles, Manuals, and More

Any suggestions? I try to avoid interjecting my personal opinion, and also want to avoid the "The stock folds to the right", or "the handguards are plastic" kind of text... Or repeat the same info that is in every other book, and avoid the useless figures and weights. Ebook-...

What Kind of Galil Scope Mount is This?

Going by memory because I sold mine, but that is the 30mm (Aimpoint) mount that used to be sold by Blackthorne.

    AK 101 question

No, its an AK74 sized magazine. There was never a "standard" 5.56 model, they were all developed independently. Some use AK47 sized magazines like the Galil, Yugos, Romanians, Hungarian, etc.. Others use 74. Better off finding a Saiga in 5.56, it will be much cheaper and most of the work...

Galil ACE and it's potential use with Alpha Group.

I have handled the ACE, and shot the Galil allot. Both on the civi side, and during my 20 years in the American Army. With the Estonian Army, and Columbians. Also have allot of time behind Colt 733s, 727s, M4A1s, and M4s from that time.

Galil ACE and it's potential use with Alpha Group.

Weight-Besides the obvious "empty" differences, don't forget the current "Western" trend of using up every inch of rail. My issued M4 in Iraq weighed well over 15 pounds with day sight, M203, night aimer for rifle, night aimer for 203, day sight for 203, etc.. In other words, every bit helps...

Galil ACE and it's potential use with Alpha Group.

As much as I like the Galil series, MANY SOF units use M4 type rifles, even when they have "better" rifles as their national assault rifle. Or at least, what looks better on paper. There is a reason for that. Yes, maybe the Galil ACE would do better if your were shooting inside a sand filled...

    Unfired Galil Sniper on Gunbroker

"Unfired" is generally accepted as unfired except the factory... Which is generally very few anyways. I photographed a Galil Sniper this last week in Estonia. Basically, the Estonian purchase price was $3200 back in the day.

    Genuine-Militaria.com?

Aren't those the same gas blocks that Blackthorne is still selling? Thats the last AR/ARM gas block. Marcin Piorko is the guy's name, and I have bought from him many times. Both online, and in person at various militaria shows in Europe. The Galil parts he are selling are actually off of...

Which countries are still actively using and manufacturing the .308 Galil?

Do you need parts, or the complete rifle? Complete rifles can be found in Europe with some effort. Both full aut (if thats legal there), or original, 2 hole semi.

South African R series of weapons information thread (lots of pictures)

10-15 years ago when the surplus SA ammo was being sold Stateside super cheap, a story came out in the main street press about how the Gov't of SA has simply sold the ammo with the understanding that it was being sold for scrap metal. They were "shocked" it was being sold to civilians.

5.56 Galil receiver cuts; Evolution or customer option?

Ok, so there basically 3 different 5.56 Galil receivers. Major changes anyway. For my own labeling, I call them early, mid and late. Early is with double lightening cuts. Early- Mid is with a lightening cut, and a scope mount cut. Mid- Late is a slabside with a scope mount plate. Late-...
