    Vz 61 skorpion worth the $$ ?

I got a stock adapter from Waffenwerks a month or so ago. You've really got to stay on them (like every day) to get a response via email. I left a bunch of messages but never got a call back only responses via email.

    New M50

You definitely can tell the manufacturer date if it's a letter prefix gun. I don't remember off hand about the non-letter prefix. I'd get some springs from Wolff, some extra firing pins and some 30 round mags from Christie. http://www.1022central.com/reising_accessories.php

    Broken bolt question

Good luck on finding a Reising-smith. If you find a good one let us know. I think you're on the right track. You may be closer than you think to finding a solution. BTW, where did your bolt break? Can you post a photo?

    Broken bolt question

I have two of those bolts as well and I too have noticed that they are a little large. I'd get some calipers and using the old bolt try to determine what parts of the new bolts are too big. Is the locking notch out of spec any? I have not had to replace my bolt but wanted to start working on...

    Thinking of buying a Reising

bips357m - The ratio of good purchase vs. bad purchase seems pretty unevenly balanced in this thread so if you want to make a decision based on one poster to each his own.

    Thinking of buying a Reising

I'm going to agree with both gunguy45 and stenmon. They are great values and swapping parts is simple. Go test drive the one you looked at to see if you like it. Do spend some time researching your purchase before you jump in feet first. I'd too buy one again.

    Thinking of buying a Reising

I don't know if I really agree with that statement, because some of the parked guns were new never sold. I guess it does not matter as long as it runs good like stenmon said. I've never seen any numbers on these rifles other than the serial number so I don't think you can tell what's original...

    Uzi Full Auto Barrel Question

IMI? Are you referring to the used military barrels? A lot of the military barrels are South African IIRC. If so, I'm not privy to any being chrome lined. Bushmaster supposedly had a chrome lined barrel at one time, but the military barrels are going to be non-chromed lined and used to some...

    New Member, Questions about bolts

The .45 bolt has the 'missing side' because it is started life as a semi auto bolt. I'm not sure about the welding on your bolt. Semi Auto bolts have separate firing pin assemblies that go in this 'missing' area you describe. Does your .45 fire from the open or closed bolt? The 9mm bolt is a...

Tactical stock ideas for Reising 50?

Don't get hung up on the word 'eligible'. Like Garret said if the weapon was manufactured 50 ago or older they are considered C&R. I'm sure some modifications or alterations might exclude something from C&R status. I think the term 'eliglble' is used sometimes for someone trying to express...

    Tom Wilkinson compensator

I put on a Tom Wilkinson compensator on my S-Series 1957 Reising and the finish was almost a 100% match. The compensator is heavy duty and well made. I indexed mine without a lathe by carefully hand filing on a large file until it lined up correctly. I highly recommend this compensator for...
