I have night sights on my XD45 compact and they are awesome. Don't get caught after sundown without them ! Great option for the home defense gun too.

You guys with the 223 rifles have it a lot better than me... but then I live where the mags must be pre-ban or I go to jail. I didn't put this in classifieds mainly cuz I'm not the seller - but you raise a good question. Guess it could be in the "for sale" section.

Thanks for the info Adi, I didn't know about the serial number containing info about the year imported. You're right, it has a way to go to be C&R. And by then I'll be about 80 years old, and probably won't be able to spell C&R anyway... if I live that long. Anyway, I'll take a look at the...

When did IWI stop making Galil model 329 ? Is there a way to find out when my S/N was made ? I ask because the ATF website says this: Firearms automatically attain C&R status when they are 50 years old. Any firearm that is at least 50 years old, and in its original configuration, would qualify...

Tell us more - how do you make sure your mount IS in line with the bore ? I guess it depends on the mount, but there must be a way a gunsmith would make sure they're lined up when a scope is mounted... besides "luck".
