I have always despised the angle of Glock mags in a carbine, but somehow Lage makes it look awesome to me now!

Excellent work on this Navgunner! the work you have put in to get these made is mind boggling. I know it is not an easy task. I tried to model a part several years ago and had it cnc machined (out of plastic to check fit) - and the part I modeled looked close, but the fit was far from precise.

I think the bolt carrier would need to be milled to trip the sear…should work fine then…or Swap the bolt carrier…but I assume not the bolt as there could be headspace issues? I have a spare semi…and surprisingly I’ve never thought about trying this until now. I’m kind of tempted.

I encourage everyone to support Chris from firing pins.com and buy a few of these. He made these at a time when firing pins were not available anywhere for the FNC.

Navgunner - put me down for 1 bolt. I tried to buy one on gunbroker several years ago just to have one…the bolt sold for over 1k if I remember correctly…at the time a semi FNC was 3k..so I think your estimated price of $650 is a bargain. Sometimes I think FNC owners are their own worst...

BTW - in case it isn’t obvious, Mr. Lage made your upper…so he definitely knows.

Trust him…he knows…and if Vegas SMG was still around he would tell you he no longer recommends it either. He told me the same.

A horrible idea for sure if the IRM requires a factory mag for disassembly…IMHO an awesome idea if you just want to shoot a 9mm max 31, 31a, or 31k…a modular grip setup that allowed the factory grip and an ar or ak grip would be splendid indeed though for sure (in my mind)

I would be very interested in that- in my mind there would be little rails welded to each side of the magazine opening- grips would slide on from the rear of the receiver and maybe there would be a roll pin that holds it in place that would go up through the bottom of the receiver to hold it in...

We’ll I vote not stupid- my suggestion - use an AK grip nut and an AK grip….
