    Old shotgun news ads!

did someone draw those tubes on the ad or is that the way it was printed. Somebody should re-make that patch, or make it a sticker.

I am back, and back on the 22lr upper. M11-33

I was thinking of doing this, and will sometime. Might even get it working again first. been distracted with a 9mm project that is almost done (not MAC related, at least not yet).

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

2 pounds is how much can be improved. not really worth it. If it did single shot as well then yes. but that is more complicated.

Currently using bolts with head turned down threaded into lower extension. There is an arm that slots around the sear axis too, to keep it from rotating.

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

might be some confusion in terms. but i would never suggest removing the sear spring. the coil spring that pushes the sear up that is. Do this and a runaway is likely.

Thanks, Feedback is appreciated, both good and bad. one downside of working by myself now is I have no one else to bounce ideas off of and give feedback. The wife is not into guns, and the kid only knows fortnite guns.

Upper housing looks good. Waiting on metal and tools to start cutting the bolt and rail. Will test with printed top rail but plan on milling aluminum for it later.

Thanks, I have also been thinking of different ways to attach the upper to the lower magwell. still plenty of options to optimize that (and the mag catch mechanism). but for now, the goal of this prototype is to get it functional, not perfect. Will optimize it closer to perfect after it works...

    New magwell looking better.

Would love to try. Semi auto would be whole other bolt system, with the AR trigger system, etc. Not sure if it would work, but maybe.... need to get a semi auto (or print one!) First. Cp33 mags are 24mm at the widest. Bit wider than an AR magwell.

New mag catch and magwell. Looking at a lower receiver extension idea. The lower extension would be bolted onto the lower. Then an upper would attach to it using the existing mac assembly pin. This will allow for swapping out mag wells so perhaps it can use multiple mags. The Mags I am...

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

good to know. was thinking of stainless, or hardened steel, with a polymer shoe. will keep an eye on wear too.

Any of y'all run milling machines? Can I pick your brains?

Wow, that machine is huge. I have something about half that size that I just got working. Luckily its only single phase 240v.

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

it was about 10 pounds stock. Lage trigger brings it to 8.25, based the website (i do not have one to verify).

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

Little tweaking and now have a 6 pound trigger to drop the stock 9mm bolt. 4pounds with no bolt on the sear. And safety functions.

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

Made clearance for the safety, and now have a 2 stage trigger, by accident. The safety spring is adding to it. Kind of like it, but not the goal.

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

Telling an engineer "if it ain't broke don't fix it" is like waving a red flag at a charging bull. we HAVE to try to "fix it" now.

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

On mine, it's actually unsafe to switch to safe, as it is so stiff, your finger can slip and hit the trigger. You are more likely to have an ND trying to switch it to safe than just leaving it alone. I never switch it. But it would be great if it still had single shot, And safety, And...

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

Just looked at the manual on the lage site. It does use the existing axis it looks like. Mine is different. Requires removal of the safety though.

Any interest in a lighter MAC auto only trigger?

Interesting. I assume it uses the same rotation point as the existing stock trigger? I have not seen one up close. I moved that point forward for more leverage. Can get the trigger force Lower.
