Yes, I have a lot of ideas for products and would love to mill my own metal but I don't have a shop. The Uzi bayonet is so simple and perfect. It's just a spring loaded latch that fits like a glove on the lug. Just have the same attachment mechanism and have a metal bar that goes down about 3...
I extremely dislike the fact that they tell you to dimple your bayo lug/screw it in hard for the set screw mount so I didn't want to do that, and I really don't want a VFG unless it matches the classic look of my Uzi. I despise the anachronistic look of a 1950's SMG that's been tacticooled out...
This is just about the first time I've ever seen the folding bayonet lug vertical grip. Hard to even find pictures of it online. I offered to buy it but he is not parting it out.

According to the description the mfg. was IMI, but that site has been notoriously wrong in the past for me.
Regarding the import; one of the reps specifically said they will have a shorter than rifle-length barrel (I think it was 14", 18" and 21" models). So even if what Apex said is true [and the ATF import ruling doesn't change] re: long-barreled rifle-caliber guns, they will still be able to import...
Like others have said the great thing about the full size Uzi is that a piece of rubber will take you from 600 rpm to 900 rpm in a matter of seconds. Mine shoots too fast :goofygrin
I'm absolutely not suggesting it but I saw a machined bushing for sale on GB that slips onto a semi barrel and supposed to make it stable in an SMG receiver.

Upper estimate was $22,000, lol. Not sure who was estimating that, but an original imported IMI pre-68 that's now a C&R, I would've pegged the minimum at $40k.
edit*- Someone also paid $18,500 for an original Thompson 100-round drum.

I'm amazed. I guess he had his transferable auto-sear in a Norinco Type 56 and was granted a letter to allow him to transfer it to an Arsenal receiver. I've never heard of being allowed to drill a third hole in a new receiver before.

All I have to say is: wow. I always wondered if these existed in transferable form.
I just thought I might share some photos of the James River Armory Gallant Gen. II. It feels very good. Little bit of slop in the handguard retainer which I believe they mentioned in the product description and is common. The action is smooth but can get hung up when slowly riding the bolt...
Don't fret. I got cold feet 3 days ago and was wishing I had bought it until it came back in stock today. I doubt they've sold every single one of them. You just can't be picky whether you want the polymer or wood, or with/without bayonet lug.
Yeah I believe on the JRA website it said Classic Firearms was their exclusive distributor. That's too bad to hear about your BM59, but hopefully a cheap fix. JRA also makes a Yugo M72 RPK that looks good. I ended up buying this and I'll put some pictures up when I get it.
