Got mine on Friday and took it out for some tests over the weekend. Federal champion (blue box) seemed to perform the most consistently, with Remington thunderbolts having more jams than successes. Still a dang good time, especially with my suppressor mounted.

To answer the original question, I still haven't received my May 1 stamp on a m11/9. I ordered a certified copy on June 2 and got it a few days ago. Maybe the original will turn up eventually, but given that it's been 51 days and I got to take my gun home anyways, I'm not too concerned.

I wonder if it would be possible to test out both at something like Knob Creek in October. I'm far enough down the list that I'd love a chance to try both before deciding. The hole isn't a deal breaker if there's an obvious advantage, but I'd rather not drill it if I don't have to.

There's always an opportunity cost associated with having your money tied up. If you could get 7k for your m10, and knew it would somewhat reliably return 7% elsewhere (SPX), at what valuation of a m10 in the future would you regret selling it, and how long down the line? Seems like prices now...
