Well I ordered a lage internal block, and was about to order a gas/brass kicker until my fiancé laid down the law and said no more gun stuff until our wedding is paid for. So I guess I'm gonna have to wait a little while.

So you spent $700+ on a Max-11 upper, then chopped it up and turned it into a factory upper? Or am I missing something?

It seemed like most of the gasses were coming from the gap where the lower and meet in the rear. So I'm not sure how the internal block or gas/brass kicker would help much, but I'm sure I could be overlooking something. How exactly do these two things keep gas from coming through that opening...

I'm just looking for anything that will keep the gas from going straight into my eyes.

Should I switch to a different powder for my subsonics? I know titegroup is a very popular 9mm powder, and I read a lot of threads on here about people loading 3.4gr of it for their 147gr subsonics. I had 200rds of it loaded an the one that blew was the 197th. So it seems like its a good load...

Well I'm loading 3.4gr of titegroup under Berrys 147gr RN for those loads. So I'd say its possible that 6.4gr could probably fit in there. 3.4gr doesn't take up much space.
