I've been thinking of doing an NFA trust with a buddy and putting a registered closed bolt on it. My only concern is durability.. do they kaboom? Do the welds need to be assessed often? If it did kb, would it destroy the receiver? Kill me? This is not intended to be practical or a competition...

I called Vector and thought I should follow up here: They apparently received about 300 bolts with no lip whatsoever, and so they've rewelded them with stainless. They said if anything it will be stronger and to go ahead and shoot it.

Why wouldn't you just screw a sling swivel into the same bushing that the stock screws into?

That's what I thought too, but looking closely I can't tell if it's finish missing or weld added. Is there some reason Vector wouls weld it? Can I ignore it and shoot? I don't particularly care about the cosmetic condition of the bolt lip.

Just brought home my new SA Vector Uzi carbine, and upon disassembly it looks like the finish is worn on the bolt lip. Is this okay? I don't care about it cosmetically, but I probably won't be able to shoot it for a bit and I'm curious if it's an immediate go-back due to some safety issue.
