I have both and while the uzi is build like a tank, I prefer to shoot my Lage M11/9. The only reason I keep the UZI is I don't need the $ and it's iconic.

I would go with the local guy if you can meet him and touch the weapon. Maybe you can work out some way to secure the weapon with him once an agreement is made. Most of the shady people I have delt with have actually been dealers.

Congratuations. The 16 is the most versital gun out there. If you don't have a 22 kit, get one. I love shooting mine with a can on the end. The gun looks great.

I rented my FA uzi to a movie called Angel Camouflaged. I got to spend and paid for 3 days on the set and had a barrel converted to fire blanks. Movie wsn't that good but I was inviteted to the premier and got a look behind the scenes on making a movie.

I agree with the engineer. My Sten MKII eats anything as long as it's feed thought a good magazine.

My first two was a M16 and M11. Since then I have bought a UZI, Sten and HK sear. I think the last two I would sell would be the 16 and M11. Both of them are so vestal for the money. The HK sear gets shot the most but the host are so damn expensive. Jeff

Why avoid it? Expectly if the slot is cut. It might be a great deal. If you don't like the lower, replace it.
