Hold up - there's a 9mm conversion kit for the Galil SAR? Or are you referring to another rifle? I'm guessing it's the latter due to the barrel size not being changeable, but if there's any 9mm Galil out there, please send the info.

Reapplied the parkerizing on a few clients' sets before shipping them back. Will post a few pictures as soon as the rails have been fitted. PS - The carrier with the oversized charging handle; that was as received from a client. I did not make that modification. A little big for my taste.

Good evening, I'm trying to remove the rear night sight on a dust cover to prepare for parkerizing. The flip sight I carefully removed, but I have no idea what the pin size is for the rear night sight. I need to obviously purchase the correct one, so if anyone knows the size and type required...

Sure - the front rail is the critical part, so you can leave out the dust cover rail for the time being. I would just suggest you place a small grub screw in the gas tube rail, to protect the threads, for in case you change your mind in the future.

I bent the handle on my rifle at the time when we fitted the prototype set. It wasn't done properly and it very quickly snapped off. I had it fixed afterwards. It is a solution, but fitting an off the shelf bolt carrier is vastly better than risking breaking a modified one in the field...

Here is a different angle that shows how the rail fits into the brackets. The angled washers are also clear. This should also be an indication to not run the kit with the standard Galil bolt carrier, as it will likely strike one of the washers.
