Anyone using Black Dog Machine Gen III .22conversion Uzi mags?

I tried ordering 1 magazine from your site and the order was changed to 3 upon checkout. Yes, I selected the 1 single magazine selection. I immediately closed the page.

Anyone using Black Dog Machine Gen III .22conversion Uzi mags?

I've never let any machine or part thereof whip my ass. If an Uzi .22 kit won't function, there is a reason or reasons. Find the reason/s and make the correction.

Anyone using Black Dog Machine Gen III .22conversion Uzi mags?

I'm considering purchasing a few to shoot some .22LR and having some fun with a Vector Arms Uzi. Are they fairly durable? Thanks for any info on them

Has anyone tried this super cheap +P+ ammo in an Uzi?

You are both to put it politely "dreaming";) The rate of fire in an Uzi firing L7A1 ammo compared to regular 9mm ammo is almost double. I've shot multiple full cans of L7A1 over the years, and it is by far the fastest shooting stuff ever introduced to the ammo market. Back when people used to...

Why don't you call the BATFE and get instructions from them?

    Uzi brass causing reloading issues

Yes, I shoot a couple of Uzis and I have run into the stamping problem but only noticed it with softer brass (like RP and some CBC) and hotter loads. Funny thing is, shooting L7A1 ammo, I do not get any stamping on that brass and it's very hot ammo. Maybe my recoil springs have less tension...

Try a powder with a different initial pressure spike.

    Uzi brass causing reloading issues

RP (Remington) brass (in all calibers) is some of the softest brass I've ever encountered in all of my 32 years of reloading. If you are reloading it in 9mm and it is a somewhat "hot" load, there is no surprise that it is "stamping" when fired from an open bolt firing Uzi subgun. I agree, that...

More suomi drum questions and an oddball

Zep Iron Clad. Best stuff I've ever used. Cleans off with odorless mineral spirits. I preserved a few new Uzis with it for several years. Not even a hint of corrosion anywhere.

Advisable to keep a couple of spare extractors and maybe a couple of lower pins.

Failures to feed in full size open bolt uzi

OP, Has this gun ever worked correctly? Have you checked to see if the trunnion welds are intact? If you replaced the barrel, have you compared it to the old barrel? Theres something that looks odd about the position of that barrel with regard to the feed ramp. An open bolt Uzi should never...

Anyone here know who was the member here many years ago that made the Swedish practice ammo barrels?

I get pretty decent accuracy with the barrel I have, made for the Uzi. I used to staple white paper plates to a backstop made of Homasote so there was no ricochet hazard, and could hold all rounds in the plate at about 40 feet. I don't know what the BB holder material is but it works pretty...

Anyone here know who was the member here many years ago that made the Swedish practice ammo barrels?

Yes, "doubling up on safety" is the desired situation. I painted the mag bottoms because if I bring the practice stuff to the range, I keep it on a separate table with the dedicated ammo, barreled gun and mags and can see at a glance that that only those mags are being put into the gun. Blue...

Anyone here know who was the member here many years ago that made the Swedish practice ammo barrels?

I don't think you'll find any abundance of it being sold commercially. What is still out there is being sold off on GB or other sites for high prices. The stripper clips alone are selling for up to $4 each. Most of that training ammo that is still around is in the hands of guys who bought it...

    Problems Feeding UZI SMG

I understand your points. I don't run them wet, just a very light dab that spreads as it's fired. Not had any issues in 22 years. I also clean them thoroughly to remove any build up. I'm not concerned with anything making a mess, that's why I have plenty of rags. Running them dry is not the...

    Most reliable ammo in SMG

I highly recommend that you stay away from the green/white boxed Remington 9mm ammo and also the Yellow boxed UMC 9mm ammo. They work fine in pistols but are not good ammo for sub machinegun use. Both are dirty and underpowered and are likely to cause a runaway due to lack of power to push the...

    Problems Feeding UZI SMG

Along with possibly installing a new recoil spring, make sure the gun is lubed well, especially if it is a new gun. The bolt slides much easier when it is greased or oiled well. I would also try down loading the magazine and see if the bolt strips off the first several rounds easier.
