I have a unique Mini Uzi closed bolt where the striker assembly is held back after every shot while on full auto. It has a lower with a split sear that holds the striker back until the bolt is closed, which causes the striker to releases. I think this is in Dave’s book.

To mod an existing lower you need to remove some material in the circled area in the picture. The mounting hole on the lower is 8mm and the upper is 6mm so a 6mm pin and two 8mm OD, 6mm ID bushings are needed.

Closed bolt SMG bolt still has the lip. It is removed on the semi version.

It was a non-adjustable gas block. I only took it out in this configuration once but I don't recall it beating up the upper or lower.

It definitely makes a fireball. This was with a standard gas block.

I believe Amphibian experimented with this and posted about it on UziTalk. I've done it as well and it can work. You don't have to relieve the trunnion or the feet because the trunnion on a full size sits farther forward than a mini trunnion and the doesn't hit the feet. Look for Amphibians post...

Looks like a Lusa magazine.

The new one looks like it's from an Action Arm semi auto 22 kit. They did not work well as I recall. The one marked "old" looks like a Group Industries barrel.

The Florida law says "to mimic automatic weapon fire" which would exclude actual full auto devices.

I used the standard CMMG firing pin when I did it and it worked fine.

The video is not showing but you have to move the sear plate and sear plate clamp to the CMMG bcg. And a radial delay barrel of course.
