This ^^^ If you are not seeing, hearing, feeling a difference in rate of fire, I have no words. L7A1 turns my full size RR Uzi into a buzzgun, a bullet hose. I dare say up around or close to 1000 RPM. Far faster than any other ammo.

Where is AZ are you and do you have the 40s still available?

And is it definitively corrosive? Very interesting but the price is "ouch" Wish it weren't so much. If the SHTF, I can always fall back on the 4500 rounds of L7A1 I have put away.

If so what were the results? I am talking in a manner to shortening the stroke of an Uzi, with a buffer. On my Uzi I found, it of course speeds up the rate of fire, but that rate increase also smooths out the feel of the Uzi. I was wondering if someone here has tried something similar on a 76...

Right - I have seen that, and apparently they are all gone.... So looking for other options.

Has anyone tried welding a piece of picatinny rail on the backplate/endcap of their 76, in order to mount a stock? Results? Satisfactory? Any reason not to...? I am thinking of a Maxin sliding stock...

For those running 158 or the 165 gr subs, finding them too weak, runaways etc. are you running them with a can? That is what they are for. I run those subs with my can and they are stoopid / Hollywood quiet. It is ridiculous. But smooth and fast running.

Thank you for the reply. This top cover has a pic rail welded on it courtesy of BWE...so I do not wish to replace it... I do have the original TC as well as a replacement one. I guess I will have to see if I can figure how to make a swap...

What is the actual purpose of the ratcheting feature with the top cover. The top cover on my RR SMG has stopped ratcheting....is this a real problem. I am not trying to sound so naive or ignorant, but trying to learn and figure out what is going on. Thanks.

I have a question without trying to sound stupid (more than usual) or insulting or implying anything... Having heard that original Stemple 76/45s may have had bolts that were not properly heat treated / hardened, can someone tell me if the Jim Burgess SW76 guns had the bolts properly heat...

I will chime in 12 or 13 years later... I think it is still relevant in certain, but not all applications. CQB and urban warfare it is still relevant and functional. To the poster who claims the AR platform is maybe 1/10th as reliable as the AK platform.... Are you speaking in terms of the M16...

Try the ETS rifle mag loader. The AR .223 loader works absolutely perfectly for Uzi, MP5, Scorpion and Swedish K mags!! Incredible thumb saver

Hello Opee. Color me very very interested for a Jim Burgess SW76.

HOT soapy water works very well. Oil then go back 2 or 3 days later - some of the corrosive salts with have seeped out of the pores of the barrel. Wash them away. Oil up. Not a big deal. Same process with antique guns and black powder.
