Shadow: are you looking at a short barrel or 16"+?

    .300 whispr blackout debate

The closest you will get to "spec" loads is by trimming with an auto trim die (manuf. linked somewhere on UZI talk), and the Redding .300-221 dies. You have to use thin wall brass--Lake City is best; PMC will not work--the case neck becomes to wide to chamber in 300-221 barrels.

    .300 whispr blackout debate

I built my own 300 Whisper/300-221, chambered the barrel and everything. It is ghost quiet with my SRT Shadow can. With the right loads, gas port placement/sizing, and buffer, it is smooth as KY on an M16 platform. How much interest is there in either chambered barrels or complete uppers...

    opinion of browning hi-power?

I love the BHP. It fits the hand like no other pistol out of the box. The only problem I have is with the serrated rounded hammer biting the web of my hand. I could go with a different hammer I suppose. For a 9mm pistol (I've never fired the .40 versions) it is one of the sweetest handguns...

    Another LM7 Video - 500 round belt

Just to let everyone know, I picked up a Razorback bolt with the trip installed from LM at KCR last week. The LM7 now functions almost 100%. I didn't need to time the trip at all. It's hard to say but most malfunctions now seem to be due to inconsistent depth of loading the cartridge in the...

    Who's got suppressed AC's?

I'm sorry; I don't know. I don't actually own an AC556, but I have threaded cans on several FA weapons and the wave washers work great on them.

    Who's got suppressed AC's?

I use double wave washers on my threaded cans to lock them in place and have had no problems with loosening or misalignment. The main problems with a standard split lock washer are that there's no guarantee of alignment and the split part can gouge either the barrel shoulder or the can's...

SOT to make a drum for my Uzi??

I thought so too. Any truth to this, or has OH become sane? Also, I thought OH passed statewide pre-emption. Is this the case?

    Interesting rings inside my barrel

I shoot my own handloads mostly. UMC and S&B have worked fine for me, also federal. Just stay away from Israeli surplus--HOT ammo and when one is a squib, the next one will definitely get your attention. I'm not sure what it would do to a MAC, but luckily my UZI only suffered a bent top...

I'll be there Saturday and Sunday. Maybe Friday night too, if my companions can get out of work early enough.

    When Bullets go "POOF!"

I think the bullets are losing stability and beginning to precess. Once they precess too far, they'll begin to tumble at a high rate and probably don't have the strength to hold up to the severe stresses caused by that.

    When Bullets go "POOF!"

You may be exceeding the radial strength of the bullet at 3400 fps. The rotational speed at various twist rates at 3400 fps: Twist Rot. spd 12 204000 10 244800 9 272000 8 306000 7 349714 Sorry the formatting sucks. Twist in 1/x", rot. spd in rpm.

No, I didn't know they were interchangeable. Sounds like it's time for a call to Lakeside.

    Another LM7 Video - 500 round belt

Nice. I wish I could get mine to run like that. Too many failures to advance the belt. Not sure why yet.

Who Has Tried A J.A. Ciener Belt Fed M16

I would try, but Ciener's design requires modifications to the lower receiver. Not until I get an SOT would I attempt that--not worth cutting on a transferable.

    9mm mag latching problems

Guys, I and a friend have been having problems with 9mm mags not staying latched in to our AR15s/M16s. Here's the deal: I have a Hahn mag block that loads from the bottom. He has the top-loading Hahn block. We both have C-products mags and some Promag glass filled poly mags. The c-products...
