I may be missing something, but wouldn't any pre-may '86 guns made in the USA be transferable? I thought that what made most pre-may dealer samples what they are was the fact that they were of foreign manufacture.

I want to fabricate a M24 style LOP adjustment unit and install it onto a standard PSS stock. I want to check out one of the factory units so I can replicate it to proper dimensions and save the $300. If anybody has one I can measure up, that would be really cool.
