This YouTube video has the complete disassembly and reassembly of the entire rifle…from memory I think it is accurate. I had to replace my burst kit once and I recall only having to remove the selector to swap it out.

I think it would bring less money…seriously I don’t know anyone who would want a gold plated Mac. Anyone that buys it is going to most likely have it refinished. If I was in the market I’d pass on it and look for one with any other finish than gold.

Mine came yesterday. I got the push button Scorpion module as well. I haven’t shot it yet, but I installed on the gun and it just looks drop dead gorgeous. The push button release works perfectly from either side. Mr. Lage really knocked it out of the park as always.

My thoughts - someone went to the trouble of making firing pins for a gun that isn’t all that common. Buy some! Like buy some right now! And buy some originals too. I think I have some ridiculous number of firing pins- at least 10 to 15. I just like looking at them knowing I will never need to...

How many FNC sears fit in a large coffee can? How many in the known serial number range have been accounted for? Should we be adding or subtracting here? Those are interesting questions to ponder…

It is (I think) very much true that there are still many uninstalled sears, but it is also very much true that they are not currently for sale. It may be true that there are not more sears than semi hosts. I’m not privy to any actual numbers. My advice to anyone that has a semi and wants a full...

I got mine as well- it is a work of art! Big thanks to Navgunner for taking this on- I let him know if he ever makes any other FNC parts to put me on the list right away! I don’t even need to know what it is first- that’s how nice the bolt is!

I have always despised the angle of Glock mags in a carbine, but somehow Lage makes it look awesome to me now!

Excellent work on this Navgunner! the work you have put in to get these made is mind boggling. I know it is not an easy task. I tried to model a part several years ago and had it cnc machined (out of plastic to check fit) - and the part I modeled looked close, but the fit was far from precise.

I think the bolt carrier would need to be milled to trip the sear…should work fine then…or Swap the bolt carrier…but I assume not the bolt as there could be headspace issues? I have a spare semi…and surprisingly I’ve never thought about trying this until now. I’m kind of tempted.

I encourage everyone to support Chris from firing pins.com and buy a few of these. He made these at a time when firing pins were not available anywhere for the FNC.

Navgunner - put me down for 1 bolt. I tried to buy one on gunbroker several years ago just to have one…the bolt sold for over 1k if I remember correctly…at the time a semi FNC was 3k..so I think your estimated price of $650 is a bargain. Sometimes I think FNC owners are their own worst...

BTW - in case it isn’t obvious, Mr. Lage made your upper…so he definitely knows.

Trust him…he knows…and if Vegas SMG was still around he would tell you he no longer recommends it either. He told me the same.

A horrible idea for sure if the IRM requires a factory mag for disassembly…IMHO an awesome idea if you just want to shoot a 9mm max 31, 31a, or 31k…a modular grip setup that allowed the factory grip and an ar or ak grip would be splendid indeed though for sure (in my mind)

I would be very interested in that- in my mind there would be little rails welded to each side of the magazine opening- grips would slide on from the rear of the receiver and maybe there would be a roll pin that holds it in place that would go up through the bottom of the receiver to hold it in...
