I won’t be able to run my 30rd zmags for a few months, but in the meantime are the current production zmags still requiring breakin? I see older threads saying the followers need passes along the bolt, depressing the follower with a ruler etc. in the past, and I have plenty of time to break them in.

I run an unmodified 1985 SWD M11/9 lower on one of Lage’s Max11 Mk1 uppers (I do like the length of the newer K Mk2’s, but also like the weight of the original Mk1’s): I had a Lage .22 conversion in an original upper, it never ran right and I sold it at a loss many years ago :(

I dropped the ball and never ordered these. Fast forward 2.5yrs later, are the ZMag 30’s still the go-to steel mag? Thanks all

Are issues like these present with the 30rd shockwave mags that have been out for around a decade give or take? I keep meaning to order a 6-pack and forgetting OP I don’t mean to derail your thread, seemed better to ask here than starting a new topic

Yea it does seem as though the base of the shroud is smooth. Very unfortunate if they produced all of those based on a toolroom example. Probably isn’t too hard to put serrations on the base however, by hand or CNC. If so I’d probably pick up a shroud + short threaded barrel to augment my...

Thanks all. I haven't looked at the bolt closely in years, but yes I do recall there being screws attaching the weight to the bolt itself. If Lage doesn't still produce the bolts perhaps they have the 900rpm weights left over. I'll email them.

I’m in the office on my iphone so I won’t type out the whole proceed, but basically I used small squares of electrical tape strategically placed in gaps between the grip, stocking locking mechanism and stock to reduce or eliminate play. I explained it in greater detail in a past post.

A buddy has an SBS double barrel coach style 12 gauge. I’d be surprised if the barrel was even 8 inches. That’s probably the nastiest thing I’ve shot with 00 buck.

Tom has such an excellent warranty/customer service/product support that I never pursued taking mine apart, but when I first got it I did look into servicing it myself. Mine didn't come user-serviceable but it does appear relatively straightforward to jailbreak
