Mr. Stomp,
As mentioned earlier, a "correct" RR conversion will have a front push-pin. Be careful as some conversions were done with a fake front push pin (the front thing that should be a pin is the head and point of the pin glued into the trigger frame) and still have the S/A shelf retaining...
Hi All,
The spoon loaders are one of my favorites as they work, you can see what you are doing and they are not huge. It is easy to drop in your pocket for when you have to load mags. Best of all is they don't cost much.
Austen loaders are great but have gotten pricey. Nice rounded edges...
Hi All,
When bump loading, fold up a shop towel and place it on the table where you bump-load your magazines. Saves the mags and keeps others in the household happier the night before the match as it is quieter :).
Enjoy,

Hi Miami Vice,
I think something got away? The Recoil Buffer Block?

Sorry if it isn't what you are looking for,

To the OP,
Does your A2 have the A2 reinforcements on the front takedown pin and the areas just forward of the buffer tube? In my very limited experience there are some A1 receivers marked (factory) as A2; these guns would not have the reinforcements.
While it is a rare variation (A1 marked...
Hi, There are smarter folks than me on the board but I'll give it a start.
Obviously a DLO sideplate gun that looks like it was built for 30-06. The .308 left front and left rear cartridge stops/guides were added to shoot .308. The right rear cartridge stop has not been cut/clearanced for...
Hi cjsoccer3,
If you have a C&R Collectors License ($30/3 years) you don't have to file a 5320.20 to visit a free state. When you buy a C&R MAC, you can get it directly even from out-of-state sellers. Then there are a few states (MN is one IIRC) that only allow C&R MGs. To some the MAC 10...
Hi All,
IMHO, I think a letter from BATF is going to be the deciding factor on the status of the NFA firearms. I've watched the forums and the percentage of "new transferable" identified by the "eForm4 Test" seems to be a great proportion of what were pre-samples. If it were 4000 of the...
Hi Stomp,
On other treads on this subject dealers have some firearms that have kept their Pre-sample status and some that can populate and eForm4. In one case, they were the same model but only certain ones of that model were allowed on an eForm4.

Hi,
I know there are new real uzi SMG's talking with local FFL/SOT folks. There have been a few real MP-5's that went for auction lately. IIRC, they were in the 80-90k range.
Wish there were a test other than waiting for BATF to respond to a letter to find today's status of a pre-sample...
Hi Slimshady,
One simple answer is that many PD's will/would not sell their used guns. I've friends that were FFL/SOT that would plead with towns and cities not to destroy their guns when "obsolete". It never worked. He could not even talk the PD's into selling the parts and melting down the...
Hi. From what I understand you can send a signed letter (scanned ok) to the NFA fax email requesting the status of a firearm. The usual S/N, MFG, etc for each firearm as well as your address as the registered owner. I've only read about this on the interweb.
Enjoy,

Hi Agent Wanko,
If you get an old Group uzi and it runs well, disregard. If it tends to fail with extraction/ejection, examine the bolt for a "G" stamped in the side. A fair number of the bolts made by GI had issues with reliable extraction/ejection. Just drop a surplus military bolt in the...
Hi Strobo32,
Just curious.
- When it stops firing you have the trigger pulled?
- Assuming the trigger is pulled is the sear down or is the sear holding the bolt open?
I've seen the Macs "spew" live ammo from the magazines after the shooter gets off the trigger. In the little Mac it might be...
