Last pic! Tried to post the original packing sheet from demilling in Poland but got a "file too large" message. Anyway, all serial numbers match. Required information is stamped under the receiver, inside of the trigger guard.
As the parts kit was imported post 2005, the barrel is probably not original. Don't know where Original AK sourced this one, but it is the correct chrome lined screw-in rather than pinned barrel. The barrel has no markings that I have found.
Here's a build by Original AK from an all-matching Polish PMKS parts kit. Original AK did the receiver marking as well. The unissued wood and sling were sourced from Poland. Tortort receiver.
1966 German MPi-KM "Transitional" Build
Build by Original AK from a East German 1966 MPi-KM parts kit. The transition was made that year from wooden furniture to plastic and you see both kinds here. The butt plate with no trap, slotted cleaning rod, 800m rear sight with red painted markings...
All but seven US parts of the Vector/Group 4332 are from South Africa and were made by Littleton Engineering, Pretoria. Vector purchased the new, unissued South African guns and had them demilled in Switzerland. The parts kits were then shipped to Utah where the HR 4332s were built. The gun has...
I became acquainted with the full-sized Uzi when I attended a SMG course at the Front Sight training facility in Nevada. While I didn't much feel the need for training with an SMG, I couldn't miss the opportunity to train to proficiency with a classic. Front Sight had bought many brand-new Uzis...
"Hard work may not make you rich, but it will make you successful." - - Margaret Thatcher, "The Iron Lady"
Forget rich. Looks like I'm no longer successful enough to dabble in NFA items.
My Action Arms Galil (Mod. 386, barrel date 4-87) has no bayonet lug and an original wooden handguard without bipod cutout. It looks very R-4. Interestingly, the barrel has the same stamped circle P marking found on the barrel of my Group Industries/Vector FA Uzi. Vector used South African Uzi...
A search of the boards did not turn up the article linked below.
I bought my Vector/Group full sized Uzi based on the information contained in the article and have been well pleased:

Bought the Vector .22 conversion kit at the same time as I bought my Vector Uzi. The kit came with an instruction sheet that directed that a bit of the ejector be removed, which I did. Function with .22 is excellent! The only problem is that due to the high rate of fire, the 25-round .22...
Read this and decide. The Vector Uzis are not "out of spec". That's just internet disinformation. It's the converted IMI semis that are out of spec. The article tells you why that's the case.
I'd never try to install FN/IMI parts on a Vector FA gun because the Vector is mostly South African...
The information posted by couch commando (apt name, that) is just plain wrong, as the article posted by emerz (Thanks!) makes quite clear. I seriously doubt if cc owns a Vector/Group Uzi. I do, and its quality is as nice as anything I've ever owned.
Someone's going see these posts and think that all Vector Uzi's are the same, with so-so quality domestically produced componants. Just so there's no confusion, the semi auto Vectors are not in any way the same gun as Vector's earlier high quality FA Group/South African offering. For all...
