Some answers... 1-12 CR in my opinion would mean 1-12" and it would be chrome lined. All original IMI 5.56mm barrels that I know of are chrome lined. A 1-12" twist is designed to stabilize projectiles that weigh 55 grains or less. I'm very sure it will not stabilize 62 grain projectiles...

Barrel questions... Patrick, IMI made some 1-7" twist 5.56mm barrels. The Galil Sporter rifles were sold with the 1-7" twist. I've seen some 1-7" barrels for sale on the internet at various times. My Galils are Pre-'89 rifles, so I don't really follow the available barrels for sale...
