AR Platform for Bear Protection ?

An AR? I would choose a Remington 870 Youth Model 20 ga. loaded with slugs. I dont see him leaving and AR withing easy access, where you can buy 3-4 870's for the same money. Keep one near the doors where the threat is closest and others in different locations where they are handy. The wife...

    Mk4 Return spring cap

This is a relatively easy fix using a welder to add metal and hand grinder to make the profile you need.

    Sterling Barrels ?

There is blocking bar in the reciever that will prevent the installaton of the MK4 barrel and the front trunnion is also different. The Mk4 barrel is retained by 2 hex screws through the end cap. Cutting your barrel or a replacement would be the best solution in my mind. This would also be a...

A broken hammer pin will allow this to happen also. The pin breaks in the center and allows the hammer to move forward and be released.

    Question about the Century Sporter

I visited the manufacturer of these firearms. Yes, the mag wells are TIG welded in spots only. I suspect this is to reduce the application of heat and associated warping that would occur it the weld was completed around the housing. As you noted, it is functional and each firearm is function...

    Finally approved!!

The ejector used in the Sterling is massive compared to most firearms. I have no noticeable wear in mine after many thousands of rounds. If your ejector is ever broken, the metal would be easy to replace and contour as necessary.

    UZI Parts kit worth anything?

You might find a registered bolt for this amount. A registered receiver will be 6 - 8 K. Check the library for information concerning the different variations available to individuals.

    PS90 & 5.7 pistol

I enjoy the PS90 very much. It is a pleasure to shoot and maintain. My local Cabela's always has a good supply of ammo available for it so this has not been a concern for me.

    Uzi drum question

Vector was the source for my drums and they work very well in my gun. They occasionally are offered for sale here in the Parts/Accessories for sale forum and other gun boards. The last drum I saw offered was $350 IIRC. The spring clip is often listed as a Jungle Clip and these are available...

Oval shaped mag well/mags wont fit ???

I attached my mag well and pistol grip housing using silver solder and mapp gas torch. The rear locking ring used was attached to my parts kit remnants.

    closed bolt F/A not working

What ammo are you using? A few years ago I purchased a few cases of the IMI surplus that had very hard primers. I experienced light strikes in my CB Uzi and M16/9. These guns run fine with any other ammo.

optic mount on sten hurt value?

The mount can be removed and the firearm refinished to conceal the mounting point if you ever remove it. On a tube gun, this may be an added selling point in the future. I would not do this to a C&R.

    need help please

If you purchased the firearm new, I would contact the manufacturer's customer service and have them repair or replace as necessary. If it is a used firearm, paint it for turkey season.

    Leading

I think your load is vaporizing the base of the bullet. The leading I have experienced was due to velocity and/or too soft a bullet. The leading would not flake off in my barrel, it was bonded. Do you know the hardness of your alloy? You may need to change the alloy or try different loads...

    Threading A Browning Buckmark

The Browning Camper barrel should be large enough diameter to back bore the muzzle and internally thread the opening. A threaded sleeve or flange may then be screwed into the barrel to attach the can. I would use a threaded flange with flats ground into the flange to tighten with a wrench.

    What to get

The ZB-26 is a BAR sized MG, top fed, designed by the Czech's and adopted by Britain. The only example I have fired was modified to feed AK ammo and accept AK mags. Heavy gun with minimal recoil in this configuration, very controllable ROF.

    new guy

Depends on your history with the bank. If you have a good history, you may get a signature loan, otherwise you will need to use some capital to secure the loan. When I was younger I used a deposit account to secure loans and establish a relationship. The way I spent borrowed money never came...
