1) We still... need... barrels...
2) I need OEM factory prints for:
a- SAR Barrel
b- AR/ ARM Barrel
3) 50 barrels are needed to make this a GO. Once the prints are reviewed by the manufacturer (a major manufacturer of excellent quality barrels), I will post a ballpark price and create a shared Google Doc for folks to post their intent to buy. I will maintain a non-public-facing Google Doc containing POC info for each interested buyer.
4) Barrels will be 5.56 chamber, 1:7 twist, Nitrided (OK...), no gas port, no notch cut, correct factory dimensions. (Maybe if this takes off we can talk 7.62x39mm barrels and 15.X" SAR barrels and other stuff... .300BLK?). Also see #2.
5) I'm not trying to insert myself as some middle man marking up the work of a skilled craftsman/ major manufacturer. I'm not doing this through my company, I'm only doing this as a hobbyist, and I will pay for my own barrels. I want nothing but quality barrels to complete my kits. You probably do too. 50 is not a high number to get to.
6) No junkies allowed. Only a quality barrel will be the end result of this endeavor. Nobody is trying to save a few dollars or a drill bit by not nitriding. See #4.
